Police bust hi-tech land-grabbing racket, seven held

Warangal: The police officials busted a hi-tech land grabbing racket of seven members who were allegedly indulged in land grabbing by creating fake general power of attorney (GPA) and seized 15 fake rubber stamps, three mobile phones, and copies of land documents from their possession in Hanamkonda on Saturday.

Disclosing facts to the media, Central Zone DCP Md.Adbul Bari said that the accused seven members were identified as A. Satish Kumar (39), Sajid Pasha (40), Muzammual Ahmed (22), I. Srikanth Reddy (38) Ch.Shiva (46) and Suresh (20), all are residents of Warangal and Hanamkonda.

The police said, “By selecting a place, the accused gang members identify the land owner and then prepare fake Aadhar card and required documents with proceeding copies of the land with the original survey number. After grabbing the land, they used to sell the property to other persons using mediators and even threaten the land owners and extort money from them by showing them fake GPA documents.

Receiving complaints from the victims, with the orders issued by the police commissioner A.V. Ranganath, an investigation is carried out under Task Force ACP Jithendar Reddy and the hi-tech land-grabbing racket is busted.
DCP Abdul Bari appreciated the task force police team for busting the racket and nabbing the seven members of the gang.
