Shocking road accident shared by Sajjanar goes viral

APSRTC chairman V.C. Sajjanar, who is very active on the social media, shared a shocking video on Twitter stating that intoxication and over speed contribute to a majority of the accidents.

The video, which went viral within minutes of posting, shows three commuters waiting for the signal to turn green at a junction when a speeding car rams into their vehicles from behind throwing two of them several feet away and destroying their vehicles, while the third rider fell off the vehicle, even when not able to comprehend what had happened.  

Two of the commuters who were thrown away to a distance could have died probably, even without any mistake from their side. Surprisingly, the car driver, who drove into the riders, fails to stop the vehicle, making it a hit-and-run case.

Pointing at the same, Sajjanar captioned it:  “The negligence of a few could make the lives of many gloomy, on the road. Innocent people become victims for somebody else’s mistakes. Don’t drive under the influence of alcohol or over speed and leave your families in grief.”

Through the video, Sajjanar tried to highlight the need for road safety to avoid accidents.

In the past too, Sajjanar shared the video of a commuter remaining alive even after falling under a truck, tagging it “extraordinarily fortunate”.
