Woman robbed at knifepoint in her house at Coimbatore

Coimbatore: A 42-year-old woman was robbed at knifepoint in full broad daylight while she was alone at home near Avarampalayam in Coimbatore on Monday.According to police, Ganesh, 50, was residing at Avarampalayam  along with his wife Rani. A middle-aged man entered his house around 2.30 pm on Monday while Rani was alone at home.

Before Rani could open her mouth the burglar threatened her at knife point,  the man robbed 9 sovereigns of gold jewels which Rani was wearing, and he also took Rs 75,000 rupees kept inside the  cupboard and escaped.Following a complaint , Peelamedu police have started probing.
