Kolkata woman found dead in Gachibowli

A case of suspicious death has been registered and the body shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post mortem.

HYDERABAD: A 50-year-old woman hailing from Kolkata was found dead on a footpath at Indira Nagar in Gachibowli on Sunday.

Gachibowli Inspector R. Srinivas said the woman, identified as Jayati Goushal, 50, was seen by patrolling personnel four days ago moving alone in Indira Nagar. They communicated with her and got to know that she was in search of a shelter home, but was unable to find it.

“She boarded an auto at Nampally and got down at Gachibowli, as she was informed about a shelter home there. However, we guided her to a Sakhi Centre and get admitted there. But she was found dead on a footpath,” the Inspector said.

When contacted, a friend of Jayati said the deceased had completed her Bachelor of Engineering in 1988 from Kolkata and her Aadhaar card has an address of Nagpur in Maharashtra. A case of suspicious death has been registered and the body shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post mortem.
