Andhra Pradesh: Woman attacked by dogs dies

The police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.

Visakhapatnam: An elderly, mentally-ill woman died after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs outside her home in Bangaramma Colony, Saluru, of Vizianagaram district on Thursday.The dogs bit the woman with such severity that a nerve in her neck got damaged, causing instantaneous death. The victim was identified as G. Lakshmi.

According to sources, she was attacked by a pack of dogs soon after she stepped out of her home. Though she tried to get back inside, she was unable to close the door behind her. Unfortunately, there was no one around at the time to help the woman. The woman was found lying in a pool of blood. Locals who found her immediately informed the police. The entire community is shocked and saddened by the brutal incident. The police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.
