HC dismisses bail petition in honour killing case

HYDERABAD: Justice C. Sumalatha of Telangana High Court on Thursday dismissed a bail petition in a matter dealing with an honour killing. The petition was filed by Gudur Vijender Reddy, an accused. A man was murdered by the parents of his wife when they married without their consent and outside caste in May.

The court observed that not only was he a witness to the crime, the petitioner was also a conspirator of the brutal killing. “Much water has flown under the bridge”, the public prosecutor said. The judge, keeping in view of a fair manner of trial, dismissed the bail petition.
