Hyderabad: Pensioner victim of chain snatching

The victim, was standing outside his home when a lone suspect snatched his gold chain.

Hyderabad: A retired government servant became a victim of chain snatching at Rajendranagar on Tuesday. 

The victim, was standing outside his home when a lone suspect snatched his gold chain.

According to the police, the incident took place at about 12.45 pm, when Prabhakar, 68, a resident of Vasudevanagar was standing in front of his house. 

An unidentified person went towards Mr Prabhakar running and snatched the gold chain from the latter’s neck. The suspect then ran back towards his bike parked at a distance and fled away.

The police said that the suspect was wearing a blue shirt and was using a Honda bike. 

CCTV camera footage installed in the vicinity are being analysed to identify the vehicle used by the offender, and a case of robbery has been registered, said the police. 

Cops have formed a special team to nab the accused.
