Hyderabad: CBI officials registered criminal cases against an assistant engineer of chief engineer office (Navy) at station road in Visakhapatnam for amassing illegal assets worth Rs 89 lakh.
Officials said that according to reliable information, between January 1, 2011 and March 14, 2019, Komaragiri Sri Rama Someswara Rao, assistant engineer (QS&C), MES, chief engineer office, (Navy) had amassed assets to the tune of Rs 89,12,829, disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Information has revealed that on January 1, 2011, Rao and his family members were in possession of movable and immovable assets to the tune of Rs 5,13,267. However, by March 14 2019, it stood at Rs 82,48,683 in his name and those of his family members.
