Vijayawada: ‘Denied’ by lover, woman stages stir

Vijayawada: A woman staged protest in front of her lover’s house at Keelesapuram demanding justice. She even threatened to end her life, if her lover refused to marry her.
The woman, S. Bhagya Lakshmi, belonging to Ibrahimpatnam, alleged that P. Joseph of Keelesapuram village in Ibrahimpatnam mandal, Krishna district, had promised to marry her and even had physical relationship but was now, refusing to enter the wedlock.
She said that they had been in a relationship for the last three years.Lakshmi said that she had lodged a complaint with the police earlier regarding the same but that the cops did not initiate any action against Joseph.
Lakshmi said that Joseph refused to marry her and hence, she lodged a complaint against him on November 18, 2018 in Ibrahimpatnam police station (Case no. 578/2018).
She found fault with the police for not doing justice to her even after six months of lodging the complaint. She said that Joseph was getting ready to marry another girl.

Later, the police arrested Joseph and he got bail subsequently. The police had filed report in the court and proceedings are underway. The case is listed for hearing this week.
