BSNL temporary worker hanged himself to death on Saturday evening, depressed over losing his money in share market speculations.
COIMBATORE: In an unfortunate development, a 35-year-old BSNL temporary worker hanged himself to death on Saturday evening, depressed over losing his money in share market speculations.
Police said, Vimalan, 35, an engineering graduate native of Pomidi-Mallapuram in Dharmapuri district has been working as a temporary worker in Coimbatore BSNL office.Few days ago Vimalan had taken a room in a private lodge near Ram Nagar. The room remained closed without responding while the room
service boys knocked many times; meanwhile on Saturday evening the hotel staff on suspicion broke open the window, and were shocked to see Vimalan hanging from the ceiling fan.
On information Katoor police rushed to the spot, recued the body and sent it to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for post-mortem.Preliminary investigations revealed that Vimalan had borrowed a huge amount of money from many of his friends for investing in share market and had lost it. Unable to bear the loss, he is believed to have taken this extreme step.
