Hyderabad: A techie was booked as a murder suspect following his wife’s mysterious death.
Arun Kumari, fell to death from the fourth floor of a building when she had gone with her husband Shashidhar Reddy and son to visit a relative in Bachupally on Saturday morning.
The maternal uncle approached Bachupally police and lodged a murder case alleging that either the husband or his sister might have pushed her off the building.
According to the police, Shashidhar Reddy, a techie from SR Nagar, was married to Arun Kumari and the couple have a boy.
“Their son was studying in Triveni Talent school and the couple had come to stay with the husband’s sister at Yogitha Nandavanam apartment in Nizampet on Friday as they had to collect the son’s Transfer Certificate. On Saturday morning around 6.30 am, Arun Kumari was walking outside the flat on the fourth floor and sat on the parapet wall from where she fell down and died on the spot,” said the Sub-Inspector of Bachupally, B. Nagendra Babu, adding that there were no clues found to know whether she actually lost balance or someone pushed her down.
Arun Kumari’s brother lodged a complaint with Bachupally police alleging that the husband or sister must have pushed her off the ledge and also stated that they used to harass her. Accordingly, a case was booked under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC and an investigation is on.
