Two TDP loyalists killed in factional feud in Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool

It is alleged that attackers were key activists of the ruling YSR congress party

Kurnool: Two people have been brutally killed by their political rivals in Pesaravail village in Gadivemula Mandal of Kurnool district on Thursday. The deceased were identified as former village Sarpanch V Nageswara Reddy and his brother former KDCC bank director Pratap Reddy, both were loyalists of Telugu Desam Party and key followers of party Nandyal Parliament president Gouru Venkata Reddy. It is alleged that attackers were key activists of the ruling YSR congress party. The assailants used a four-wheeler to hit them and when they fell down, do them to death with knives and sharp objects, the police said.

According to sources,  a gang of five-six members who were waiting to execute their plan against the victims on the outskirts of the village, saw them coming to the burial ground to perform last rites rituals of their relative along with their family members. The attackers hit them with four-wheeler vehicle and then killed with hunting knives. The duo fell down and died on the spot and after the incident, the attackers fled the scene in their vehicle. On being alerted of the murder, Nandyal DSP Chidananda Reddy along with his staff rushed the spot.

Police personnel have been deployed in the village to prevent further violence.
