Telangana: Naxals gun down man in Narasampet
Tension gripped Paloncha mandal after the incident as there were no naxal activities in the area since two years.
Khammam: Rayala Bhaskar, a sympathiser of the Rayala Group of CPI (ML) New Democracy was killed by the Chandranna group, another splinter group of New Democracy, at Narasampet in the early hours of Wednesday.
Tension gripped Paloncha mandal after the incident as there were no naxal activities in the area since two years. According to details, a 20-member armed dalam led by K. Ravi of the Chandranna group descended on the house of Bhaskar. and asked him to come out.
Bhaskar fled to a mango grove near his house. But, the dalam caught him and brought him to the village centre. Allegations were made against him that he was collecting more money for hiring out his two tractors to farmers. After that the dalam attacked Bhaskar with sticks and guns. Bhaskar died on the spot and the dalam left the village.
Eyewitnesses said there were five women among the 20-member dalam and they had weapons. Bhaskar, who was a sympathiser of Telugu Desam, joined the Chandranna group and left it and was working with the Rayala group.
