Hyderabad: One held for sexually abusing mentally challenged woman

According to police, P. Veeraswamy migrated to the city three months ago and was living in the house of the woman as a tenant.

Hyderabad: A 38-year-old man who sexually exploited a mentally challenged woman when she was alone at her home was arrested by the Jubilee Hills police within 24 hours of the assault. According to police, P. Veeraswamy migrated to the city three months ago and was living in the house of the woman as a tenant.

Following differences with Veeraswamy, his wife left for her home town. Later, Veera-swamy lived alone and used to observe the woman, the daughter of the landlord. Jubilee HIlls Inspector K. Bala Krishna Reddy said, “On Thursday, the mother went to her brother’s house in LB Nagar for Rakhi. Veeraswamy entered the house and forced himself on the victim on Thursday evening.

The mother returned home, saw Veeraswamy in the house and alerted neighbours. Veeraswa-my fled from the scene.
