Hyderabad: Home guard, two others arrested for looting cash from trader

Police found that the accused had lured the traders to Hyderabad promising hefty commission for the cash exchange.

Hyderabad: Panjagutta police arrested two people including a home guard for looting cash from a trader, who came to exchange new currency with demonetised currency. 

Police said that the Home Guard S. Naresh, who works with ACB and his friend Naveen looted '12 lakh from the victim a day ago. 

“Mahesh and Venkanna from Nalgonda district had come to Hyderabad with Rs 12 lakh in Rs 2,000 notes. The accused looted their money and escaped,” said an officer.

Police found that Naveen had lured the traders to Hyderabad promising hefty commission for the cash exchange. He had convinced them that one party in Hyderabad want to exchange more than 15 lakh rupees in demonetised currency.
