Bengaluru: Construction worker dies as wall falls on him at MS Building

Bengaluru: A 45-year-old construction worker died on spot when an under construction wall fell on him on Saturday in M.S. Building near Vidhana Soudha. The deceased is Kuppaiah Chinnaswamy, a resident of Uttarahalli. He is survived by wife and two children. According to the police, in the fourth floor of M.S. Building the inner walls of agricultural department were being renovated and Kuppaiah and four other workers were present on the same floor when the incident took place.

Around 4 pm, while Kuppaiah was working in the room no 407, the under construction wall fell on him and he sustained severe head and chest injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
A complaint has been registered against the contractor for not providing safety measure. Vidhana Soudha police have registered a case and begun investigation.
