Bengaluru: Minor rescued from flesh trade, 3 held

Bengaluru: Marathahalli police have arrested three men in connection with the kidnapping a 17-year-old girl from the city in August, who was later trafficked to New Delhi for flesh trade.The police also rescued the girl from Delhi on Saturday.The accused have been identified as Rajesh Kumar, Chottu Ramden and Shivashankar. According to the police, on August 8 the girl went missing and a complaint was registered at Marathahalli police station. The investigation revealed that she had become friends with one Shivashankar, who had promised her a job.

The police found Shivashankar and interrogated him. He confessed that he had promised her to get a job and sold her for Rs 70,000 to a woman named Kajal in New Delhi. Two special teams were sent to New Delhi to rescue the girl. Based on credible information the police raided a brothel in G.B. Road in New Delhi and rescued the missing girl. It was revealed that Rajesh and Chottu were involved in trafficking of the girl. The Marathahalli police have registered a case and produced the accused in court.
