Bengaluru: Man crushes wife to death with boulder

Bengaluru: The Doddabelavangala police have arrested a 32-year-old worker on charges of bludgeoning his wife to death on Saturday.

The accused, identified as Nanjappa, a resident of Jodi Karepura, surrendered before the police after the incident. He killed his wife, identified as Lakshamamma (25), over a domestic row.

According to the police, the couple had a fight on Saturday and in a fit of rage Nanjappa grabbed a boulder and hit Lakshmana on her head. As a result she died in the spot.

Nanjappa later walked into Doddabelavangala police station and narrated the incident.

The police rushed to the spot and shifted the body for post-mortem and took Nanjappa into custody for further investigation.
