Three die in two separate road accidents
Karimnagar: Three persons died and three others were injured in two separate road accidents that took place in the Karimnagar and Warangal districts on Saturday.
In the first mishap, a speeding lorry hit an oncoming car at Thadikal crossroads in Shankarapatnam mandal of Karimnagar district, killing two persons and injuring one. According to the police, the deceased are Akash, 22, of Peedampalli and Shravan, 32, of Yempedu of Tekumatla mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district. The locals shifted the injured person to the government hospital in Karimnagar by ambulance and the police shifted the bodies for postmortem.
In the second incident, a 35-year-old man died on the spot and two women were injured after their bike collided with an oncoming water tanker in Khanapuram mandal of Warangal district.
Narsampet police said the deceased person, Abothu Sambaraju of Mangalavaripet, a rice mill worker at Narsampet town, was going to work with the women, the agri workers, who were hitch-hiking, at the time of the accident.
The injured were sent to the government hospital in Narsampet. Police registered cases in the two incidents and the investigation was under way.
