Cyberabad police nab 6 accused in Kothur dacoity
When asked why they were carrying weapons, they told that they were under threat from enemies but did not disclose any names.
Hyderabad: Leads from the arrested persons involved in the Kothur dacoity last Sunday helped the Cyberabad police nab two notorious offenders who were in a series of grave offences in the city and seized firearms, live ammunition and two gold chains from their possession. Police also arrested four of their associates.
The arrested persons were identified as Rachamalla Rakesh, 27, and his brother Rachamalla Rajesh, 30, and their associates Hussain Mohammed, 23, Imran Khan, 26, P. Naresh Reddy, 24 and Kavali Mahesh, 28.
Shaik Irfan Ahmed, a courier service boy from Rajendranagar, who was the prime accused in the Kothur dacoity revealed the names of his associates Rakesh and Rajesh. With the tip-off, the RGIA police raided their houses and nabbed them.
Based on their confession, Hussain Mohammed, Imran Khan, who arranged the pistols for the brothers, and Naresh Reddy and Mahesh who were involved in chain-snatching offen-ces, along with the brothers, were also nabbed.
