Rajahmundry: Anti Corruption Bureau catches sub-registrar red handed
The officials sent a report on the development recommending departmental action against him.
Rajahmundry: ACB trapped a sub-registrar working at Kamavarapukota while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 for registration of a site on Monday. ACB DSP V. Gopala Krishna said one Peetala Krishna Murthy purchased a two cent site at Allam Cheralarajupalem village and approached sub registrar Alam Madhusudhana Rao for registration. But he demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 to do so.
Peetala Krishna Murthy approached the ACB who in turn laid the trap and caught the official red handed while accepting money at his office. A case was booked. In 2013, when Madhusudhana Rao was working as a sub registrar at Vatluru, ACB carried out a surprise raid and found unaccounted cash of Rs 98,000.
