KURNOOL: A young man from Adoni town in Kurnool district, who has found himself stranded in Dubai because of a Karnataka-based agent, has published a selfie video on social media, saying he has been confined to an accommodation for past 45 days. He appealed to officials at the Indian Embassy in Dubai for help in rescuing him from his illegal detention.

The young man, Mohammad Imran, had travelled to Dubai on March 30 this year after approaching an agent based in Karnataka. The agent had promised him employment in the human resource management wing with a monthly salary of Rs 2 lakh. Despite being financially disadvantaged, Imran raised loans and paid the agent the required fee to secure the job.

However, no progress was made though he has landed in Dubai. Instead, Imran has found himself detained in a location near the airport. He laments in the video that he has remained confined to the same place for the past 45 days, with no means of escape.

Imran appealed to the Indian Government to intervene and rescue him from the clutches of the deceitful agent, who has cheated him.
