Hyderabad:  A contract employee of Spice Jet Airlines was assaulted by his former colleagues near RGI Airport on Friday. Javed Ali Khan alleged that the suspects who called him to talk threw him into a car and abducted him. He said he managed to escape from the room where he was confined. RGI Airport police registered a case against the five involved.

Javed Ali Khan, 29, a resident of Gaganpahad, was earlier working as a cab driver transporting passengers to the airport. A few months ago, he quit and joined as a contract driver with Spicejet Airlines.

On Friday, his former colleagues Taufeeq, Afroz, Altaf, Farooq and Ibrahim met him as they suspected that he was giving information about private cabs in the airport to the police. An argument broke out between them on this and his former colleagues assaulted him, police said. Javed said they later put him into a car, took him to an unknown place and confined him in a room. He said he escaped, approached the RGI Airport police and filed a complaint.

Based on his complaint a case for inflicting injury and criminal intimidation was registered and he was sent for medical examination.
