Hyderabad: Two held for murder of their friend
Inquiries revealed that seven persons were involved in the murder and they had a fight over financial matters.
Hyderabad: Two suspects involved in the murder of Shoban Babu in Vanasthalipuram on Thursday were arrested while another suspect who is absconding attempted suicide at his aunt’s home in Hyderabad due to alleged police harassment.
Shoban Babu, an electrician from Nalgonda was murdered by his friends, who beat him up and then took him to a hospital and fled when doctors declared him dead.
Inquiries revealed that seven persons were involved in the murder and they had a fight over financial matters. In the last week of June, Shoban Babu, Rajesh, Yadagiri and a group of other friends went on vacation to Goa, where they lost money in gambling. After returning back, they had arguments over sharing the money lost.
To discuss the same, all of them gathered near Sahara Estates in Vanasthalipuram and after getting drunk, they attacked Shoban Babu.
Meanwhile, Rajesh who is also an accused in the case was absconding. Rajesh who is working as a collection agent for a private finance company in Nalgonda is shuttling between Nalgonda and his in law’s residence in LB nagar, where his wife is staying.
On Sunday evening he came to his aunt Manjula’s residence in Kavadiguda and in the night, he consumed Phenyl and attempted suicide. He was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where he was treated and is said to be out of danger. His family members alleged that he was harassed by Police, but Police said to evade arrest, he has played the trick.
