14-year-old girl kidnapped, gangraped in UP

Meerut: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by two persons in Meerut, police said on Tuesday.

On a complaint by her family, an FIR has been registered against the two accused in this regard, police said.

"The victim was attending a marriage ceremony on Sunday with her family where she was kidnapped by her two neighbours, Nadeem and Shadab. The duo took her to a secluded spot in a nearby forest area and allegedly raped her," they said.

She was then dumped on roadside in an unconscious state, police said.

The victim was sent for a medical check-up before being handed over to her family members, they said, adding that efforts are on to nab the accused.
