MPO and Panchayat Secretary Caught in ACB Net
HYDERABAD: ACB officials on Wednesday arrested Kandukur mandal parishad officer MPO P. Kalyani and Rachaloor panchayat secretary D. Narender for accepting a bribe of Rs 2.50 lakh from a complainant for doing an official favour.
According to the ACB, the accused officers were caught red-handed while accepting the bribe amount of Rs 2.50 lakh from the complainant N. Madhusudhan Reddy, a resident of Kompally for not compelling him for HMDA permission and smooth running of his factory.
The ACB officials seized the tainted money from Narender, who accepted based on directions of Kalyani. The fingers of the hand of the accused officer yielded positive results in a chemical test.
Earlier, the accused officers demanded Rs 5 lakh bribe from the complainant to run his MRK Bricks business which is part of Vaishnavi Construction located at Rachaloor village in Kandukur mandal.
ACB sleuths arrested the accused and shifted them to judicial remand.
