Nellore: Mother, daughter killed; Eight women hurt in mishap

Nellore: A woman and her daughter died while eight other women were injured when a tractor overturned near Mulumudi village in Nellore rural mandal on Monday evening.

The deceased and the injured are farm labourers and the mishap took place when they were returning home, after working in a farm near the village.

The deceased have been identified as Purini Polamma, 55, and her daughter, Minati Aruna, 30,  of Mulumudi.

Under the impact of the accident, Polamma’s head got separated from her torso.

The accident occurred as the driver lost control of the vehicle, according to the onlookers.

The injured were shifted to different hospitals in Nellore city for treatment. Nellore Rural CI Srinivasulu Reddy inspected the scene of accident and booked a case.
