Hyderabad: Court attender arrested for stalking stenographer

Hyderabad: A 26-year-old court attender harassed his colleague and stalked her as she was on way to court. Pagadala Kiran, 26, working as an attender in court misbehaved with his colleague, a stenographer, at the court and stalked her. He was arrested and remanded.

In another incident, D.K. Singh, 22, was arrested by Neredmet police for harassing his classmate in the name of love. When the girl's parents asked Singh's parents to keep him away from the girl he and his friend trespassed into the girl's house and abused her and her parents. The duo were arrested.

Kasani Suresh Babu, a businessman from Vanasthalipuram, was arrested for harassing a private sector employee by sending abusive messages. He was also arrested and remanded.

D. Prabhaker, a private sector employee, was arrested for harassing a 15-year-old girl in the name of love and threatening to commit suicide if she rejected him.

Nacharam police arrested one Dinesh Kumar who works for a media firm for forcing a degree student to accept his love. Two months ago, he forcibly took her home to introduce her to his mother. But there was nobody at home and he and took her pictures and started blackmailing her.  

Apart from this, 30 others and three minors who were caught in decoy operations and through complaints on WhatsApp for troubling women were booked. They were counselled in the presence of their families. Meanwhile, SHE teams have started approaching women from interior villages and at construction sites, handloom centres and shopping malls to create awareness about women’s safety.
