Police made the submission in the Remand Report filed before the court seeking permission to lodge Ameerul at Kakkanad sub jail.
Kochi: Clearing the air on Jisha rape and murder case, the police on Saturday submitted bef-ore the Kuruppampady Judicial First Class Magistrate court that Ameerul Islam’s motive was to ‘sexually abuse’ Jisha. The cops substantiated Ameerul’s motive by incorporating Section 376 A (Punishment for causing death or resulting in persistent vegetative state of victim). If convicted the accused will get rigorous imprisonment for 20 years to imprisonment for natural-life or death. Police stated that Ameerul wanted to satisfy his “uncontrolled libido”.
Police made the submission in the Remand Report filed before the court seeking permission to lodge Ameerul at Kakkanad sub jail. “Ameerul on April 28, 2016 at around 5 pm, knowing that Jisha would be alone at her home, with an intention to sexually abuse her forcefully entered the house. He tried to grab her, but Jisha strongly objected to the move and tried to escape from the scene.
Ameerul then caught hold of her and covered her mouth and nose and pinned her down. Due to her strong resistance Ameerul used the knife he was carrying and stabbed her multiple times. Frustrated by the failure to rape Jisha he then penetrated her vagina with the same knife and injured her fatally resulting in internal organs coming out of the body.”
Police also submitted that they suspect the DNA samples collected from the body of Jisha and the crime scene matches with that of the accused. Police also added that Ameerul's friends Munarul Jamal and Sujal, who are also residing with him, have identified the slipper (material object) collected from the crime scene and stated that the same belongs to the accused.
