Hyderabad: 2 killed as auto mows them down

Hyderabad: Hours after seeing his newborn baby girl for the first time, a 24-year-old farmer and his relative were mowed by a speeding auto at Medipally on Monday night. V Raju along with his relatives Kavitha and Rajitha went to Gajwel as his wife gave birth to a baby girl on Monday.

According to Medipally police, V. Raju, a resident of Bolliguda was a native of Gajwel. He was into farming. On Sunday evening, Raju along with his two female relatives V. Kavitha and Rajitha went to Gajwel as his wife delivered a baby girl.

At 8.30 pm, the trio returned to the city. As they got down from an autorickshaw at Boduppal corssroads and were walking towards Bolliguda, a speeding vehicle dashed them.

The trio received severe injuries to head and other body parts. The locals called an ambulance and shifted them to a nearby private hospital, where the doctors declared Raju and Kavitha dead on arrival, police said.
