Andhra Pradesh: Missing girl case puts police in trouble
Cops say that they conducted the funeral rites only after the post-mortem report was out.
Vijayawada: Police recently conducted the funeral of a girl whose identity could not be ascertained. Days before, they received a missing complaint about a girl named Bujji and the case was registered in I Town police station. Now, Bujji’s parents claim that the body buried by the police is that of their daughter.
They questioned as to how the police could conduct the funeral even while they have a missing complaint about a girl registered in one of the police stations. Bujji used to work in a textile shop as a sales girl. Her parents alleged that one Vamsi killed their daughter.
The police are going for damage control and saying that they will inquire and punish the culprits.
However, they clarified that they conducted the funeral rites only after the post-mortem report was out. The higher officials asked I Town police station officers to give a clarification on the issue.
