2 burglars held with Rs 12 lakh worth gold

KARIMNAGAR: Police arrest 2 inter-district burglars, seize 20.5 tolas of gold, 23 tolas of silver ornaments worth Rs. 12 lakh, 2 bikes, and break-in tools in Rajanna Sircilla district.

Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan says the arrested duo, R. Saraiah alias Venkatesh, 28, and B. Ramulu, 25, both residents of Ramaraopally village in Palakurthy mandal of Peddapalli district, have been burgling locked houses for the past 10 years in Sircilla, Jagtial, Warangal, and Peddapalli districts.

Mahajan appeals to the people to report any suspicious persons to the police, rent out their houses only after taking details of the tenants, and install CCTV cameras.
