Hyderabad: Tollywood actor Nagarjuna’s sister, Naga Susheela, lodged a complaint with the Punjagutta police against her business partner Chintalapudi Srinivas on Friday. In her complaint, Naga Susheela alleged that Srinivas, her business partner since 2005, had sold a land belonging to their company worth Rs 12 crore in Shankerpally without her knowledge. She also alleged that he had misused the money of their company SS Prop-erties while setting up a new company, SS Pro-moters. She also named Srinivas’ wife and 12 others in the complaint.

Reacting to the complaint, Srinivas said that false cases are being registered against him by Susheela. He said that she owes him money and this was a way of diverting attention. “While a civil case is already underway regarding the business, she has lodged the new complaint in an attempt to convert it into a criminal case and avoid repaying me and thereby take over the company,” he alleged.

At a press conference, Srinivas said he only took the money he was supposed to get from the company. Srinivas said they got the land registered in 2005-06 with the company’s money and there was already a civil case in the court in this regard but Susheela was trying to make it a criminal one. He said the company had incurred heavy losses by producing four films in which her son Sushanth was the hero. He said that Susheela had threatened him of dire consequences.

Nagarjuna wasn’t involved in the dispute but a friend of his had intervened and tried to bring about a compromise between him and Naga Susheela, Srinivas said. He said he was the managing partner of Srinag Productions while Naga Susheela was only a partner. Punjagutta police said they have booked cases against Srinivas under Sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
