Gwalior woman forced into same-sex relationship, hangs herself
In a note, she accused her landlord's wife and sister-in-law of putting pressure on her to have a physical relationship with them.
Gwalior: A 35-year-old woman in Gwalior was found hanging form the ceiling fan of her hotel room on Monday morning. A suicide note was recovered, which blames her extreme decision on a forced same-sex relationship, according to a report.
The suicide note, which is yet to be authenticated, was discovered by the police in a hotel near the railway station where the woman had checked the previous evening. Police also found her mobile phone and other personal belongings.
In the note, she has accused her landlord’s wife and sister-in-law of putting pressure on her to have a physical relationship with them.
The woman, a divorcee from Mumbai, had rented a house in Meera Nagar area of the city and worked as an accountant at a private school. She had informed her neighbours that she was going to Mumbai on Sunday.
The staff of the hotel was forced to break open the door at around 10:20 am after they failed to get through her. Ever her mobile phone went unanswered.
The two accused women are to be arrested soon, as the police have lodged an FIR based on the note. The neighbours in the locality have alleged that the two women have a dubious record.
