Bengaluru: Pvt firm employee sexually assaulted by men on bikes

Bengaluru: An incident of sexual harassment by unidentified bike-borne men has been reported at Jeevan Bima Nagar police station limits on Sunday. A woman has filed a complaint that two unidentified bike-borne men approached her and that one of them kissed her before fleeing. The incident occurred around 2.30 am on Saturday night when she was standing near JB Nagar bus stand.
It is learnt that the woman, an employee of a private firm, had gotten down from a cab at the bus stand as she lived nearby. When the cab driver left, the two men came on the bike and kissed her. Before she could react, the duo fled the spot.
The JB Nagar police, who are investigating the case, have no clues in the case, except that one of the accused wore a black T-shirt. "We are investigating the case. We tried to find CCTV cameras for the footages to get clues. But there are no CCTV cameras in the area where the incident occurred," the police said.
This is second such incident reported in the city this month. On June 6, a girl was molested by a 35-year-old man Murali by throwing a rubber-made lizard at her. He groped the girl on the pretext of removing the lizard on CMH road in Indiranagar police station limits. The accused was arrested a few days ago.
