Visakhapatnam: Girl dies at boyfriend's house
Dhanalakshmi, 20, was in live-in relationship with Kasubabu.
Visakhapatnam: A 20-year-old girl was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her house in the Kadapalem area of Pudimadaka, within the limits of Atchutapuram Police Station, in Vizag district, on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as M. Dhanalakshmi.
Dhanalakshmi’s parents allege that their daughter was murdered by her boyfriend U. Kasubabu and his parents. The two were in a live-in relationship and had been living at Kasubabu’s house.
Atchutapuram sub-inspe-ctor D. Dheenabandu said Kasubabu found that Dha-nalakshmi had collapsed in her room at around 1 pm on June 18. There was saliva coming out of her mouth and nose. He alerted his neighbours and tried to revive her. The neighbours thought that it was a case of suicide and informed the cops. The cops took her body to a hospital for a post-mortem to be conducted.
Dhanalakshmi and Kasubabu had been in love for some time. They were afraid of telling their families about their affair. The two had eloped a few weeks ago and had only returned home a few days back. Since then, the two had been living at the boy’s house in Pudimadaka.
The boy’s parents were disappointed with their son’s actions. They said that Kasuba-bu’s love affair had failed to bring them any dowry.
A case has been registe-red based on a complaint fi-led by the victim’s parents. Investigations are underway to ascertain the cause of death. Police has taken a few persons into custody fornterrogation.
