The victims, L. Somaiah, 60, a trader and his wife, L. Ramulamma, 58, were shifted to a corporate hospital in Hyderabad with stab injuries on their chest and stomach. Doctors said that Somaiah is being treated in the Intensive Care unit while the condition of Ramulamma is stable.

Meanwhile, locals started arriving at the spot. The suspect then escaped from the spot without taking any money or gold,” said Athmakur sub-inspector P. Shivanaga Prasad.
