Bomb threat at Trisulam railway station, security up
Following the letter, the RPF and GRP combed the railway station from morning to evening and found nothing.
Chennai: The railway protection force (RPF) and government railway police (GRP) have increased the security at Trisulam railway station opposite Chennai Airport following a bomb threat letter, on Thursday.
According to the sources, the letter addressed RPF, Egmore railway station warned of the terrorist plot to plant a bomb at the railway station before August. “The letter also said that L. Raghavan, a gatekeeper is the leader of the terrorist group and him along with 4 others planning the destruction,” the sources said.
Following the letter, the RPF and GRP combed the railway station from morning to evening and found nothing. The police said that the security would be provided to the railway station apart from launching an enquiry to find the person who wrote the letter. “We have found out whether there is a man named L. Raghavan,” the police said. Tambaram railway police registered a case.
