KARIMNAGAR: Unidentified persons allegedly shot dead a Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) worker at his house at about 2 am on Saturday at Ganganagar Colony at Godavarikhani of Peddapalli district on Saturday. The assailants were wearing helmets, which made identifying them difficult.

The victim was identified as Korakoppula Rajendar, 35, ‘general mazdoor’ in the RK-7 coal mine in Srirampur of Mancherial district.

According to the police, the incident occurred when Rajendar’s wife Ravali went to the washroom outside their house.
