Hyderabad: 6 arrested for murder in '22

HYDERABAD:  Miyapur police of Cyberabad commissionerate arrested six persons in connection with the murder of an alleged offender Mohd Akheel, an accused in a murder case at KPHB a year ago. The arrested accused are identified as Md Fareeduddin, Shaik Asif Aslam Khan, Mohammed Abbas, Sameer Khan, and Shaik Hameed.

ACP Miyapur division P. Narsimha Rao said Akheel, who was arrested in the murder case, started threatening the arrested accused and demanding money from them since he came out on bail. As he was becoming aggressive, the accused persons decided to get away with the torture and killed him, the ACP said.

Police said Akheel and the arrested accused are all close friends. But since he came out on bail, he started harassing them by demanding money and also threatened them with dire consequences if they did not give him money.

To get away with the torture, they decided to kill him and accordingly, they rounded up and killed him on July 1. Based on technical evidence, police arrested the accused persons and sent them to judicial remand on Saturday.
