Bengaluru police catch 21-year-old performing wheelies

BENGALURU: Next time, you perform stunts on the road and put up the videos on social media networking sites, beware! The police are watching you. A 21-year-old youth, who had uploaded videos of his dangerous stunts on the road, was arrested by the Pulikeshinagar traffic police on Sunday.
The accused, Mohammed Juber, a resident of Frazer Town and a college dropout, was performing stunts on the road regularly. After seeing his videos on the Facebook, the police collected information about him and tracked him down through the IP address.
Three police teams had been formed to track down youngsters performing wheelies and other dangerous stunts. On Sunday, Juber was allegedly performing a wheelie on M.M. Road in Pulikeshinagar when he was caught by the special team.
He was booked under Sec 283IPC, 183,184,189 MV Act. To make city roads safer for commuters, the city police will continue to crack the whip on such violators and will continue with the drive, the officer said.
K. Shiny Kiran, an 18-year-old second PU student of RJS College in Koramangala and a resident of Ulsoor, had been run over by another vehicle after she fell off her friend’s bike when he suddenly performed a wheelie on the busy Old Madras Road on August 31.
