Notorious house burglar nabbed, Rs 9 Lakh seized

Hyderabad: A bike mechanic turned interstate burglar was arrested by the Rachakonda police at Ibrahimpatnam on Tuesday. Police recovered 270 grams jewellery 555 grams of silver articles and a bike all worth Rs 9 lakh from the possession of Shaik Rafi .

According to police, Rafi, 28, is working as a bike mechanic and started committing thefts to earn easy money. Based on technical evidence, he was nabbed on Tuesday. On inquiry, confessed that in the year 2017 alone, he was involved in seven burglary cases.

Shaik Rafi was earlier associated with notorious criminals in separate cases. All of them are out of jail now. He was produced before the court on Tuesday.
