Dumped techie commits suicide

She was depressed after her lover rejected her and married another woman.

Hyderabad: Depressed after her lover rejected her and married another woman, a techie committed suicide in Banjara Hills on Friday. The techie, Usharani, left a suicide note saying that Vidyasagar had promised to marry her and had also taken money from her for his personal use. Police said that D. Usharani, 26, hailing from Srikakulam district, was working for a software firm in Madhapur and was staying at Indira Nagar in Banjara Hills along with her parents and brothers. Her father Rama Rao is a painter, while her brothers were students and her mother a housewife.

She was in love with one Vidyasagar, belonging to Srikakulam district. But, a few days ago he got married to another woman and Vidyasagar’s mother and sisters also harassed her over the phone. “While her mother and brothers were in the house she locked herself in the hall and hanged herself on the ceiling fan with a chunni,” said Banjara Hills SI S. Santosham. Her parents rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her dead.

Police also recovered a suicide note which said that “Vidyasagar is responsible for my death.” Based on a complaint from her father Ramarao, an abetment to suicide case was booked against Vidyasagar. The body was handed over to her family after postmortem.
