Nellore: RTI activist found dead near tracks
It was initially assumed to be a case of suicide but injuries on the neck and back of the body hinted at foul play.
Nellore: The railway police is considering transferring the case pertaining to the death of RTI convener P. Veerabhadraiah to the police.
Veerabhadraiah, 46, was found dead on Sunday under mysterious circumstances between two railway tracks close to the Veda Vyas School at Magunta layout.
As RTI convener, Veerabhadraiah had exposed irregularities in many departments, earning himself many enemies. The police believe that one of those affected by his activism could have had a hand in his death.

The railway police sent the body for an autopsy at the Government Hospital, a medical officer said injuries on the victim’s hands appeared to indicate that he might have been attacked.
