Hyderabad: Six arrested for stealing water pipes

Hyderabad: Six people were arrested for stealing pipes meant for Mission Bhagiratha. Police seized pipes worth 14 lakh from them. Police said the pipes were kept at New City Venture in Aushapur village.
On February 14, officials found pipes were missing from the yard and filed a complaint. Police found the suspects had cut the 10 metre pipes into small pieces and had transported them to Musheerabad in a van, where they sold it for 30 lakh each.
Based on a tip off, police nabbed B. Balaraju, M. Bhupal, P. Ramu, K. Biksha-pathi, M. Bhaskar and receiver Md Fareed. The arrested persons were remanded.
