Lifestyle made Abhay target

Hyderabad: Abhay’s luxurious lifestyle made him a target of the kidnappers. Seshu used to often meet Abhay and other boys of Gyanbagh Colony. It was during these meetings that he observed Abhay’s rich lifestyle — though Abhay was studying SSC, he had a scooter at his disposal and a smartphone.

“Abhay often used to say his father had lots of money. Hearing the claims, Seshu then thought they would get a huge ransom which he could use to learn dance and realise his film industry dreams,” said city police commissioner M. Mahender Reddy.

Also, while the accused were shifting Abhay’s body to the Secunderabad they dumped his mobile and spectacles at Hindi Nagar.
