Anticipatory bail for three in Kottiyoor rape case

KOZHIKODE: Thalasserry Additional sessions court has granted anticipatory bail to three accused in the rape case of the minor girl at Kottiyoor in Kannur. The doctors of Christu Raj hospital, Kuthuparambu, Sr Dr Tessy Jose, paediatrician Dr Hyder Ali. M and hospital administrator Sr Ancy Mathew were granted bail on Monday. They are respectively the third, fourth and fifth accused in the case.

There are eight accused in the case and now all have been granted bail except the first accused, former vicar Fr Robin Vadakkumchery.   The case is that the three accused violated rules by hushing up the delivery of the girl who gave birth at the hospital on February 7. They have done so allegedly to save the first accused.
