Hyderabad: The sad case of a 13-year-old girl Sivasree, who died of cancer on May 14, took another turn recently. The videos of Sivasree have gone viral on social media. In these videos, she pleaded with her father to pay for her cancer treatment or allow her mother Sumasree to sell their house in Vijayawada.

While Sumasree is still fighting for the house from her first husband M. Siva Kumar, another woman approached Vijayawada police along with her two daughters, seeking justice from Sumasree’s current husband Polina Venkata Krishna. Polina Neelima, a native of Yalavarru of Amartaluru mandal in Guntur district, claimed that she married Krishna in the year 2004 after both fell in love.

She said that Polina Venkata Krishna deserted her in the year 2010 after they had two daughters and started living with Sumasree. She said she was fighting a legal battle against Krishna since 2011 and a case was filed under Section 498A and 494 at Banjara Hills police station, which is now pending in court.

Neelima claimed that Krishna has not given her a divorce. She alleged that after Krishna married Sumasree in 2010, she was tortured and thrown out of the house along with the children. “My younger child Darshini Priya was 2 months old and elder daughter Rajeswari was 2 years when he deserted us,” said Neelima.

She continued, “We were happily married for 6 years until Sumasree entered my husband’s life,” she said. Krishna claimed that he spent '25 lakh for the treatment of his stepdaughter (Sumasree’s daughter Sivasree) but he was apathetic towards his own daughters, said Neelima. “I still want my husband back as we were not legally separated and my daughters need some kind of fatherly love, the kind  Krishna has shown to his stepdaughter,” she said.

Though Krishna and Sumasree claimed that a huge amount had been spent on Sivasree’s treatment, Neelima alleged that they were not concerned about the health of Sivasree but tried to grab the house on her name.

Meanwhile the former husband of Sumasree, Madhamshetti Siva Kumar issued a statement that the house he bought in the name of his daughter Sivasree is being given to Basava Tarakam Cancer Hospital.
