Hyderabad: RMP dies by suicide after killing wife
HYDERABAD: An RMP doctor murdered his wife before his eight-year-old kid and later died by suicide at his house in Janwada village, Shankarpally mandal, in the early hours of Saturday.
According to Narsingi police, Dr Yaracharla Nagraju, 37, had a tiff with his wife Sudha Rani, 32, and in a rage attacked her with a coconut-cutting sickle several times.
When their eight-year-old son Dikshit Nagarajulu tried to stop his father, Nagarajulu scared him away. Dixit ran out of the house but watched from the window, police said. Sudha suffered internal injuries and died on the spot. Minutes later, Nagarajulu died by suicide.
The other son, six-year-old Akshit Nagarajulu was fast asleep at that time, police said.
Dikshit alerted the neighbours and said that his father was attacking his mother with a knife. However, by the time they reached the spot, Sudha was dead and Nagaraju unconscious.
During the preliminary investigation and after visiting the scene of the offence it seems that Nagarajulu murdered Sudha Rani and ended his life by suicide, said A. Shiva Kumar, Narsingi police inspector.
The couple had come three years back from Kannigapuram village, Suryapet and were staying in a rented house.
A case of murder under Section 302 IPC and suspicious death under Section 174 CRPC were registered by the police.
