Osmania General Hospital sees long queues due to doctors strike

The strike by the junior doctors has put patients through a lot of hardships as senior doctors could attend to only few patients.

Hyderabad: Long queues were witnessed in Osmania General Hospital, Gandhi Hospital and Koti Maternity Hospital on Thursday as junior doctors went on strike protesting a government proposal to increase the retirement age of doctors from 58 years to 65 years.

The strike by the junior doctors has put patients through a lot of hardships as senior doctors could attend to only few patients. The waiting hours increased and patients were seen getting agitated as there were protests inside the campus but no one to treat them.

Angry patients were seen complaining in Gandhi Hospital and at Koti Maternity Ward and the extra security had to be put in place to control the crowd.
